A coach must acknowledge the dignity of all humanity. He or she must conduct himself/herself in a way which respect diversity and promote equal opportunities.
It is the primary responsibility of the coach to provide the best possible service to the client and to act in such a way as to cause no harm to their clients, emotionally.
One of the important code of conducts to be observed is INTEGRITY.
In coaching integrity means*:
1. Maintain throughout the level of CONFIDENTIALITY which is appropriate and agreed at the start of relationship;
2. Disclose information only where EXPLICITLY AGREED with the client, unless the coach believes that there is convincing evidence of serious danger to the client or others if information is withheld;
3. Act within APPLICABLE LAW and not encourage, assist or collude with others engaged in conduct which is dishonest, unlawful, unprofessional or discriminatory.
